Plumbing jobs I do
Minor repairs and replacements in the kitchen, bathroom and toilet – fast and without unnecessary demolition.
Tap & mixer replacement
Basin, kitchen sink, bath and shower mixers – deck-mounted or wall-mounted, single-lever or thermostatic. Old one out, new one in, checked for leaks.
Dripping tap repair
Often you don't need a whole new tap – a new cartridge, washer or aerator does the job. I'll tell you on the spot what makes sense.
Thermostatic mixers
Thermostatic cartridge replacement when the shower won't hold its temperature or drips. Temperature calibration and filter cleaning.
Toilets & flushing
Running cistern, fill and flush valve replacement, flush buttons, toilet seats.
Traps & slow drains
Replacing or cleaning traps under basins, sinks and baths. A slow drain can usually be fixed without any demolition.
Isolation valves & hoses
Replacing seized or dripping isolation valves and flexible hoses – cheap prevention against flooding the neighbours.
Washing machine & dishwasher
Connecting water supply and drain for a washing machine or dishwasher, hose replacement.
Basins & bathroom furniture
Installing a basin and vanity unit including tap and waste connection.
How much does tap replacement cost
Most minor plumbing jobs fit within the first hour – so you pay 1,450 CZK including travel plus materials. Typical times:

Plumbing FAQ
How much does it cost to replace a tap?
Labour: the minimum order of 1,450 CZK includes travel within Prague and the first hour – replacing a basin or kitchen tap usually fits within it. A wall-mounted bath mixer may take longer; each additional hour is 490 CZK. The tap and small materials are charged separately.
Should I buy the tap myself, or will you bring it?
Either works. If you buy it yourself, send me the link – I'll check it fits your basin or the spacing of the wall connections (standard for wall-mounted mixers is 150 mm). Or I can source the tap for you.
My tap is dripping – does the whole tap need replacing?
Not always. Single-lever mixers usually just need a new cartridge, older two-handle taps a new washer. If the tap is old or corroded, I'll recommend replacing it – and tell you straight away which option is cheaper.
Water is leaking – what should I do before you arrive?
Close the isolation valve under the basin or toilet, or the main water valve in the flat. Then call me – for urgent cases I try to come as soon as possible, usually within 2 hours.
Do you do larger plumbing jobs?
I focus on minor plumbing work and repairs in the home. I don't work on gas appliances or full pipework during renovations – in those cases I'm happy to recommend a trusted plumber.
